Lewis Cha considers himself to be a typical student, but his drive, determination and passion to share what he knows with his community is anything but. Now a junior at Lindsay Unified School District (LUSD) in Lindsay, California, his family moved following his mother’s stroke when he was a child. Lewis regarded the opportunity as a way to start over – to navigate a new school and new personal challenges with the determination he believes his mother values more than anything else.
